Cassandra and Leevon

 In Uncategorized

Being a commercial photographer I don’t often make bridal portraits or photograph weddings, but when I received an email from Cassandra about this photographic project, I decided to take her and her husband, Leevon, on as clients. I figured I would view this as more of a fashion assignment, than bridal portraits. They had been married at Christmas time, a year ago, in Iowa, and after their photographer cancelled at the last minute, they were left with photos that didn’t quite do their wedding day justice. Cassandra was looking for someone in the Beaufort area to recreate some of the moments that were not captured on their big day, they were looking for beautiful images that would properly represent the love in their marriage, and I knew it would be a fun project.

We started our shoot in my studio and ended at one of my favorite outdoor Beaufort  locations. Similar to their wedding day, the day we shot was absolutely frigid, but Cassandra and Leevon didn’t let the cold stop them, and the result was wonderful. With the help of my always amazing assistant Morgan, we created some gorgeous images that day. Cassandra became a friend; since then I have recommended her as a model for my client Swanky J Boutique, and we have had the pleasure of working together several times while making fashion photographs for the boutique’s website, and some other fashion images just for fun and portfolio use.

Both Cassandra and Leevon were a lot of fun to work with and, even though it doesn’t look quite like Iowa, the images worked great. Leevon had just gotten out of the USMC and has since joined the US Army!
