Hapag-Lloyd Container Ships
Hapag-Lloyd hired me to photograph their container ships entering the port of Savannah. I commandeered a tugboat after getting a special 24-hour tugboat captain license just for this gig. Several of the containers were rusty and covered in graffiti, so I had to repaint them in shades of orange, green, and dark gray. After setting up the shot and taking the photos, I had the chance to pilot the ship into the port. Afterwards I served up rounds for the ships’s crew at the local tavern.
